Bollea ecuadoriana
A relatively new species from the soft leaf group. Very attractive fan-like growths with no pseudobulbs. A summer bloomer, the flowers are light lilac with darker purple tips and a bold yellow blotch on the lip. Distinct column gives this plant its nickname the 'parrot beak' orchid. Very easy culture.

Bulbophyllum facetum
Related to B. sumatranum, but flowers are more open on a shorter stem. Large blooms relative to the plant, are light yellow with striking red reticulation, especially heavy in ventral sepals. Watch its very unique hinged lip rock! Very nice and relatively compact.

From tropical Mexico, this epiphytic species is very showy. The plant has long pendulous cylindrical bulbs topped with luscious soft dark grey-green leaves. Large white heavily substanced flowers emerge in clusters from the new growths. Wonderful candidate for baskets or on mounts. Multi-cane, strong plants in 3" pots.

Coelogyne rochussenii
Another species of the South-East Asian coelogynes. Sharply pendant long spikes with 20-35 flowers, good for hanging baskets. Flat, fragrant, starry, light tan flowers highlighted with a pure white lip. Even beautiful when just in bud. This is very desirable.

This is a great plant to try if you have interest in the soft-leaved group as it is very easy to grow and flower. Most dayanas offered are the white with purple flower form. We offer the less common pure white form with a purple blotch only on the lip.
