Cattleyas have long been considered the "Queen of the Orchids".

Many people consider them to be the most beautiful and consider them to be the symbol for the orchid family. For others though, when one thought of cattleyas, one pictured large lavender flowers that your grandmother wore. Nothing is further from the truth today. Cattleyas come in every shape, size and color imaginable. We want to offer you a plant for whatever your taste may be..

Cattleya labiata semi-concolor
Nice seedlings of our favorite Brazilian cattleya species which highlights the fall season. The parents, 'Jeanie Shrimpton' HCC/AOS & 'Beauty' will produce the rarer semi-concolor type of seedlings with pink tepals and a white lip with a red blotch in the center. A classic beauty.

Cattleya labiata semi-alba
Our crossing of 'Just Right' with nice shape and a very dark lip crossed with the fantastic awarded variety, 'Bom Dia' SM/JOGA(pictured) from Japan. These seedlings should produce very nice semi-alba labiatas with a dark purple splotch on the lip.

Cattleya labiata semi-alba
This cross is using the variety of 'Serenity' which has very little purple color on the lip and the awarded 'Bom Dia' SM/JOGA. These seedlings should have large full shaped white flowers with hopefully just a hint of color on the lip.

This semi-alba cross is using our very select variety 'Machan' which has enormous size and quite good shape. This cross with 'Bom Dia' SM/JOGAshould produce some very fine C. labiatas with award potential.

Perhaps the most pristine and beautiful of any cattleya species. This fall blooming species garners attention whenever in bloom. These very select seedlings were made for us by one of the best nurseries in Brazil.

Cattleya labiata coerulea
Very rare and beautiful. These seedlings poduced for us in Brazil are about one year from flowering. The flowers now of a quality of the finest C. labiatas have large flowers and good shape. We expect some very fine flowers from this cross of 'Junior' X Panelas'.

Cattleya labiata rubra
No form of C. labiata is more enjoyed than the dark rubra forms. These seedlings were made in Brazil using the well known variety 'Schuler' and an especially select Brazilian variety, 'Morado do Sol'. We expect shapely dark lavender flowers with darker lips.

C. warneri alba

Cattleya loddigesii
This crossing of the varieties 'Aranda B' HCC/AOS and 'Sweetheart' AM/AOS should produce some of the finest C. loddigesiii varieties grown today. Both parents are huge pink flowers with excellent shape and texture. These will be award quality seedlings.

Cattleya intermedia 'Sendai' BM/JOGA
This spring blooming species with brighten any collection. Rather compact plants produce large clusters of sparkling flowers. The color is soft pink offset by a deep red lip. These are nice mericlones made in Japan.

C. walkeriana
This is a new cross made by Tokyo Orchids in Japan. The parents are the semi-alba 'Tokyo No. 1' AM/AOS and 'Dark Eye', a very select lavender form. WE expect more delicata type flowers of lighter color with a dark lip.
