Cattleyas have long been considered the "Queen of the Orchids".
Many people consider them to be the most beautiful and consider them to be the symbol for the orchid family. For others though, when one thought of cattleyas, one pictured large lavender flowers that your grandmother wore. Nothing is further from the truth today. Cattleyas come in every shape, size and color imaginable. We want to offer you a plant for whatever your taste may be..

C. lueddemanniana 'Sweet Perfume' X Lc. Susan Holguin
Absolutely outstanding bright rose-lavenders with darker lips. Diamond dust texture. Season sharply around February, though again in late spring would not be unusual.

Lc. Canhamiana
(C.mossiae 'Spring X L. purpurata suave)
A remake of an old, yet classic primary hybrid. Flowers are very large and reminiscent of L. purpurata, but fuller in shape. Season is May-June. With this combination we expect the colors to be soft to medium pink.

C. gaskelliana 'June Surprise' X L. purpurata flamea 'King'
This is a remake of the classic Lc.C.G. Roebling. Very large showy flowers with open shape like L. purpurata. Here we have used the dark flame form of L. purpurata(pictured) to give vibrant color with these summer bloomers.

Pot. Little Toshie 'Yellow Rose' X Blc. Goldenzelle 'Full House' HCC/AOS
Very miniature plants should produce an array of golden colored flowers on compact growing plants. Pot. Little Toshie is known for its consistantly iniform hybrids, now with the ipressive coral colored Goldenzelle.

A cross between the beautifull Campobello with clusters of clear concolor yellow flowersa crossed with the very dwarf Yellow L. briegeri hybrid, Blc. Love Sound(pictured), well known for it's great hybrids.

Blc. Mildred Rives 'Orchidglade' X Blc. Satomi 'Yasooi'
We are hoping for high quality seedlings of the showiest standard type cattleya, the semi-alba. Blc. Mildred Rivwes was always "Best in Show" in Miami for years and here it is crossed with the fantastic Blc. Stomi(pictured) from Japan which is white with a soft pink tint.

We have great expectations for this cross. Both parents, espeially Slc. Misty Girl(pictured),are now proven parents for high quality seedling. Flowers should be in a wonderful array of coral tones with very good shape and size.

A new remake of the classic Lc. Heathii. This cross produces beautifull medium sized flowers on quite compact plants. We have used the very short form of C. loddigesii with our very fine C. walkeriana 'The Chairman.

We have taken a very fine white C. Heathii from Japan and crossed it with the very famous C. walkeriana alba(pictured). These should be very compact growing and have large pure white flowers.

L. purpurata 'Eyecatcher' X C. warscewiczii 'Select'
This is a another classic remake of Lc. Callistoglossa. Flowers of this cross will be very large with open shape and light pink, some with darker lips amd some flaring because of L. purpurata 'Eyecatcher'(pictured). Nice cluster since both parents carry at least 5-6 flowers.

We have just begun tobloom these and they have been fantastic. Huge flowers with verty fine shape. The colors have been sparkling rosy pink with some yellow on the lip.

The crossing of two Queens. This is the remake of a fabulous cross from Japan, Slc. Cutie Girl. The flowers are medium sized and the colors are vibrant rosy purple with some flaring on the petals from the Pot. Aisako Akatsuka parent(pictured).

Lc. Melody Fair 'Carol' X Lc. Persepolis 'Splendor'
Everything one could want in the showy semi-alba cattleya. Pure sparkling white tepals with a striking dark purple lip. Lc. Melody Fair, perhaps the finest semi-alba today(pictured),is a very fine grower and here crossed with the proven Lc. Persepolis.
